CreArt has three open calls  at the moment: dual exhibition (Katowice), Artist in residence and Seminar for curators  (Aveiro). Deadline for applications 16 September.

The CreArt Network of cities CreArt continues with its program of activities for 2018, with three OPEN CALLS for artists born or residents in any of the CreArt cities. These are: Dual Exhibition in Katowice (Poland), Residence of Artists in Aveiro (Portugal) and Seminar for curators in Aveiro.

The Polish city of Katowice opens a new call to find an artist from its city and another artist of any of the cities in the network, to participate in the Dual Exhibition "Who can say more?" , to be presented on January 17 in the City of Gardens Gallery (Galeria Miasta Ogrodów). The organization covers all the organizational expenses of the show, and production of the works. In addition, artists will receive fees for their participation.

Aveiro in Portugal invites two artists from the CreArt network and one artist from the city / region to participate in the CreArt Residence in Aveiro, in VIC Arts House, between November 3 and November 30. Aveiro will receive 3 visual artists working on painting, photography, new media and ceramics. The organization will cover the travel expenses to Aveiro for the two artists from other CreArt cities and will be provided with a grant for subsistence and production expenses.

Aveiro also organizes the Seminar directed to curators of the network "What is to curate an exhibition? Presenting the past, narrating the present", between October 29 and 31, coordinated by the Portuguese curator Mariana Pinto dos Santos. This seminar will explore the relationship between art history and curating and will focus on contemporary exhibitions on twentieth-century art. The seminar will consist of exposing sessions and case studies, including the discussion of essays and visits to the exhibition "Corpo, Abstracção and Linguagem na Arte Portuguesa, Works of the Ministry of Culture in the Depot in Serralves and not Município de Aveiro; a visit to the Department of Communication and Art at the University of Aveiro led by Dr. Graça Magalhães, director of the Master in Contemporary Artistic Creation, and the participation of an independent curator.
