Zawartość: The members of the CreArt Network have recently appointed the Croatian curator Branka Benčić, as European curator of the CreArt Exhibition 2018, Six Memos, that will be presented from May next year in Valladolid (Spain), Liverpool (UK), and Lublin (Poland). During this month all the CreArt cities will open calls for the selection of artists and then, the European curator, Branka Benčić will make the final shortlist of artists and projects that better fit with the concept proposed &bdquo;Six Memos“. The exhibition will builds up around six concepts - Lightness, Quickness, Exactitude, Visibility, Multiplicity and Consistency, seen as a thread of literary heritage, memory, culture, ideas…based in the eponymous collection of (five) essays, a last, unfinished and posthumous book by Italian novelist Italo Calvino. Branka Benčić is an independent curator and art historian based in Croatia. Over the past decade she has curated group exhibitions, artists solo projects and film screenings in Croatia and internationally, lectured and published on contemporary art in exhibition catalogues, journals and books. Her basic research, writing and curatorial interests are focused on contemporary art, exhibiting film and video, exhibition histories in former Yugoslavia. CreArt European Exhibition 2018 Six Memos Five essays bearing titles - Lightness, Quickness, Exactitude, Visibility, Multiplicity (sixth – Consistency, only planned and projected, due to author’s death) represent conceptual trajectories in order to understand the continuing transformations in the world and mainly through literature and language, Calvino’s main interests, but it can be understood further reflecting ideas in art, society and culture. 30 years after publishing, as a reality check, we can reflect on Calvino’s legacy of Six Memos, as a possible future projection and a look back on a common heritage, imagination, humanity and civilization. The exhibition builds up around six concepts - Lightness, Quickness, Exactitude, Visibility, Multiplicity and Consistency, seen as a thread of literary heritage, memory, culture, ideas. It is questioning the idea what the future might hold for “the expressive, cognitive, and imaginative possibilities” of language and literature. Six concepts Calvino establishes is a series of values, universal, as legacy of past and future generations. Therefore Quickness, Exactitude, Visibility, Multiplicity and Consistency - are the frameworks seen today also in contemporary art practices, engaging with different topics from material conditions, institutional critique, visionary ideas, and social and cultural issues. It is the polyphony of the field of art and its complex structure that is the place of forming different constellations, reflecting the epistemological multiplicity of the world and the changing contours of different cultural contexts. Authentic picture of the world, Calvino claims, is not homogenous, it incorporates an intricate network of relationships between people, objects and events. His definitions are not fixed - weight becomes lightness, slowness speed… Some values cross over with ease from time to time, some remain as ruins. Calvino examines different values by shifting our perspective and making life’s burdens bearable. The exhibition is not shaped to form a linear narrative that depicts certain content, but a fragmented structure that creates a series of interrelationships and gaps as a context that outlines the "intent" of the as a temporary environment. The works of selected artists point to fractures and potentialities shaped by ideas of Quickness, Exactitude, Visibility, Multiplicity and Consistency. Believing in the future of art Calvino highlights its utopian potential. His “memos” are relevant today, well into the new millennium he didn’t live to see, when some of our gravest fears and some of our greatest hopes have emerged and became visible. How to place values from the past in the present, and project them into the future? My confidence in the future of literature consists in the knowledge that there are things that only literature can give us, by means specific to it. His memos, notes, questions, anxieties and anticipations, and the possibilities of imagination are going to be explored in the proposed exhibition through the works of contemporary artists. (B. Wystawa “¿BORDERS?” będzie prezentowana w Sala 0 Herreriano Patio Museo Valladolid (Hiszpania), 9 marca 2018 r. 1 CEL OTWARTEGO ZAPROSZENIA DO SKŁADANIA OFERT Europejski projekt CreArt (Sieci Miast Dla Twórczości Artystycznej) za pośrednictwem Municipal Foundation of Cultura of the Valladolid City Council (Miejskiej Fundacji Kultury Rady Miasta Valladolid) ogłasza otwarte zaproszenie do uczestnictwa w Podwójnej Wystawie “¿BORDERS?” (Granice), mającej się odbyć w Sala 0  Museo Herreriano Patio (Valladolid, Hiszpania) 9 marca 2018 r., wystosowane zarówno do artystów lokalnych, jak i pochodzących z innych miast partnerskich biorących udział w projekcie CreArt (artyści ci powinni być urodzeni lub mieszkać na stałe w: Valladolid - Hiszpania; Genui i Lecce - Włochy; Liverpoolu – Wielka Brytania; Clermont - Ferrand i Rouen – Francja; Zagrzeb – Chorwacja (członkowie HDLU); Kowno – Litwa; Lublin i Katowice – Polska, Aveiro – Portugalia; Skopje – Macedonia). 2 WARUNKI UCZESTNICTWA Organizatorzy pokrywają: – koszty produkcji prac wybranych artystów. – koszty montażu, transportu i ubezpieczenia prac. – koszty upowszechniania i promocji wystawy, w tym katalogu. – koszty podróży, zakwaterowania oraz wyżywienia artystów wybranych w ramach sieci CreArt, związanych z montażem i inauguracją wystawy. Dwaj wybrani artyści otrzymają 500 € netto w charakterze wynagrodzenia za uczestnictwo. 3. JAK WYSŁAĆ ZGŁOSZENIE Wymagana jest następująca dokumentacja w formie jednego załącznika PDF: skan dowodu osobistego lub paszportu; krótkie CV (1 arkusz A4) krótkie przedstawienie proponowanego projektu (1 arkusz A4) dokumentacja graficzna związana z projektem oraz pracami proponowanymi na wystawę. Tylko kompletne zgłoszenia będą rozpatrywane. Zgłoszenia należy przedkładać do 30 grudnia 2017 r. 4. PROCEDURA SELEKCJI Kurator zapozna się z każdą z przedłożonych propozycji, sprawdzając ją pod względem jakości, wykonalności oraz dostosowania do ogólnej koncepcji wystawy.    Do dnia 15 stycznia 2018 r. CreArt Valladolid powiadomi mailowo artystów, którzy zostali wybrani, a lista ich nazwisk zostanie opublikowana na stronie internetowej projektu. Udział w procedurze otwartej selekcji oznacza zgodę na powyższe podstawowe założenia, zaś wybrani artyści powinni w przyszłości zaznaczać w swoich CV oraz kontaktach z mediami (prasa, media cyfrowe), że zostali wybrani do udziału w Podwójnej Wystawie “¿Borders’” w Valladolid. CreArt Sieć Miast dla Twórczości Artystycznej, projekt współfinansowany ze środków Unii Europejskiej. ¿BORDERS? (Granice) Jeśli spojrzymy na kilka ostatnich rozdziałów w podręcznikach historii, Europa wydaje się książkowym przykładem dążenia do zjednoczenia i likwidacji granic. Wystarczy wspomnieć o wydarzeniach takich, jak takich jak upadek muru berlińskiego w 1989 r., rozpad ZSRR w roku 1991, lub wejście w życie Traktatu z Maastricht i utworzenie Unii Europejskiej w 1993 roku. Pod koniec XX wieku kontynent ten pragnął, a przynajmniej tak się wydawało, ulec globalizacji. Kilka lat temu, niemiecki polityk i mąż stanu Helmut Kohl powiedział pamiętne słowa: Europa nie może być fortecą, która będzie nas chronić przed innymi, musi być otwarta". Słowa te niosły zalążek bliższego i bardziej dostępnego świata. Wyraźnie widać, że postęp globalizacji, cyfrowej transformacji oraz pojawienie się nowych technologii przyczyniły się do likwidacji (a przynajmniej zatarcia) wielu granic geograficznych i mentalnych: mamy więcej okazji poznawania kultur odmiennych od naszej własnej, wiele możliwości rozmowy z przyjaciółmi i członkami rodziny przebywającymi w geograficznie odległych miejscach, a także lepszy dostęp do informacji i wiedzy zdobywanej tysiące mil od nas. Pojawiło się także więcej możliwości zdalnej sprzedaży i zakupu produktów w odległych krajach,  widoków na pracę w innych krajach, oraz opcji szybkiego przemieszczania się z jednego miejsca do drugiego. Z perspektywy osób najbardziej optymistycznie nastawionych,  Ziemia stała się globalną wioską, gdzie wszystko znajduje się w zasięgu jednego kliknięcia myszką, lub kilkugodzinnej podróży lotniczej. Nie dajmy się jednak zwieść. Nie wszystko jest idealne. Czasy, w jakich przyszło nam żyć, z pozoru tak otwarte, mają swoje drugie oblicze: pomimo wszelkich korzyści jakie niesie ze sobą globalizacja i cyfryzacja, wydaje się, iż coraz więcej różnego rodzaju przeszkód, ograniczeń i podziałów uniemożliwia nam porozumienie. Wystarczy otworzyć gazetę, by uświadomić sobie, że "świat cofnął się w czasie", jak to określił Alexis Rodríguez Rata, pisząc: w ostatnich latach w mediach ukazywały się rozliczne wiadomości związane z ruchami nacjonalistycznymi, ksenofobicznymi przywódcami, nowymi murami budowanymi pomiędzy krajami i kontynentami, odrzuceniem imigrantów i uchodźców, oraz wzrostem wydatków na ochronę granic. Powiększa się przepaść pomiędzy ludźmi bogatymi a biednymi (narzucając granice gospodarcze i społeczne); rosną też różnice natury ideologicznej i religijnej (tworząc granice psychologiczne). Również wjazd na teren pewnych krajów staje się trudniejszy (rosną bariery granic geograficznych). Jak stwierdził jakiś czas temu Ferran Montesa (naczelny 'Le Monde Diplomatique"w języku hiszpańskim): &bdquo;nadal mówimy o tej globalnej wiosce, ale prawda jest taka, że granic jest więcej niż kiedykolwiek. W XXI wieku buduje się więcej murów oporowych niż kiedykolwiek wcześniej”. Wszystko to pokazuje, że żyjemy wśród ciągłej walki przeciwieństw: globalizacja kontra lokalizm; internacjonalizacja kontra nacjonalizm; integracja kontra odrzucenie; jedność przeciw fragmentacji, otwarcie przeciw zamknięciu. Poprzez niniejsze otwarte zaproszenie, pragniemy usłyszeć wypowiedzi różnych artystów w odniesieniu do pojęcia granic, szczególnie w dzisiejszej Europie: Czym w ich odczuciu są granice na tym kontynencie? Jak powinniśmy z nimi postępować? Jakie granice są najbardziej niebezpieczne? W jaki sposób wpływają one na ludzką jednostkę i jej interakcję ze światem. Jak radzą sobie z nimi obywatele pierwszej i drugiej kategorii? Jak możemy żyć na kontynencie, który jest coraz bardziej otwarty, a jednocześnie bardziej zamknięty niż kiedykolwiek? MUSEO DE ARTE CONTEMPORÁNEO ESPAÑOL, PATIO HERRERIANO Muzeum hiszpańskiej sztuki współczesnej, Patio Herreriano otwarto w 2012 roku w odrestaurowanym klasztorze San Benito. Mieści ono prywatną kolekcję obejmującą około 1000 prac hiszpańskich artystów od 1918 r. aż do chwili obecnej. CREART ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE KAUNAS  2018 Kaunas Artist-in-Residence program is aninitiative of CreArt, launched in 2014. CreArt Kaunas partners, PE “Artkomas”, have a large experience of organizing visual arts projects, and short-term residencies in their city as well as other cities and towns of Lithuania. With their own focus on painting, “Artkomas” co-operates, however, with experts of other visual arts’ fields (like Kaunas Photo Festival, Kaunas Vytautas Magnus University New Media Studies Department, etc.). Therefore we are able to offer necessary conditions for creation to painters, photographers, and new media artists, who would like to participate in this part of CreArt project. ABOUT KAUNAS Kaunas is the second largest city of Lithuania, with active cultural life. Situated in the valley of the confluence of the two longest rivers of Lithuania, the Nemunas and the Neris, the town itself became an example of a confluence of people and cultures, an attractive blend of architecture and nature. Although Kaunas is called the city of students and rich in cultural, sport, students’ events, it is an important industrial and cultural city with a population of over 320.000. ARTISTS ACCEPTED 4 visual artists (we can offer acceptable conditions for a painter, a photographer or a new media artist, possibility to work with new 3D equipment) CONDITIONS AND STIPEND The organization will reimburse to artists travel expenses to Kaunas (up to 500 €). Studio and accommodation is free. The artists will receive a grant of 350 € + 250 € for materials. ACCOMMODATION “Domus Pacis“is situated in the centre of Kaunas, close to the historic Old Town and right by the tranquil park of Santaka which invites for lovely walks. All the town’s favourite places and sights are within walking distance and public transport takes you to any part of the town. STUDIO The painters will work at the painting studios of “Domus Pacis”. The photo and video artists will we able to use the IT, 3D and photo lab of Art Center. KAUNAS AiR PROGRAMME * Kaunas will provide an assistant to help with settling in the city (info about cultural institutions, events, useful places); * Kaunas will organize introduction to the local artists’ community (in the form of meetings, etc., where the artist has to make a presentation of his/her work and art); * The artists will have to have open days for visitors; * Kaunas will make a final public presentation of the artworks created during the residency (a group exhibition of the 4 artists). The exhibition will be displayed in Kaunas, in co-operation with a local continuous art project. Kaunas will organize the exhibition opening ceremony, media, publicity, will publish exhibition catalog; * 1 artwork must remain for Kaunas city. WHO CAN APPLY Local artists – born or resident – in any of the cities taking part in  “CreArt. Network of Cities for Artistic Creation”. Preference is given to works with a wide variety and diversity. There is no age limitation, yet it is necessary to have a degree in a field of art (university level). If the applicant does not have a university degree, proof of equivalent ability must be provided through his or her artistic career. Network of Cities for Artistic Creation, project co-funded by the European Union.   CreArt Artist in Residence in Liverpool 2018 Liverpool City Council and the Bluecoat Arts Centre, Liverpool (‘The Organisers’) invites two artists from the CreArt Network  to work at the Bluecoat Arts Centre in Liverpool for one calendar month between 15th February  and 15th March  2018.   ARTISTS ACCEPTED AND WHO CAN APPLY There are two spaces available in this round.  Artists should be born or resident – in any of the cities taking part in “CreArt. Network of Cities for Artistic Creation” .These are: Valladolid – Spain; Genoa and Lecce – Italy; Clermont - Ferrand and Rouen France; Zagreb – Croatia; Kaunas –Lithuania; Lublin and Katowice –Poland; Aveiro – Poland; Skopje – Macedonia. Preference is given to works with a wide variety and diversity from all fields of visual arts. There is no age limitation, however it is preferable to have a degree in a field of art (university level). If the applicant does not have a university degree, proof of equivalent ability must be provided through his or her artistic career. STUDIO / BLUECOAT Liverpool’s centre for the contemporary arts, Bluecoat showcases talent across visual art, music, dance, live art and literature. As the most historic building in Liverpool’s city centre, Bluecoat has four galleries. It houses a creative community of artists and businesses and runs a participation programme with local communities. Bluecoat Arts Centre   www.thebluecoat.org.uk/ Liverpool’s centre for the contemporary arts, Bluecoat showcases talent across visual art, music, dance, live art and literature. As the most historic building in Liverpool’s city centre, Bluecoat has four galleries. It houses a creative community of artists and businesses and runs a participation programme with local communities. In March 2008, the revered arts centre re-opened after a £14 million re-development by Rotterdam architects Biq Architecten with a stronger mission than ever to engage, innovate and excel. Bluecoat believes everyone can craft and be creative and it is our aim to provide a space where creativity can flourish and be shared. Bluecoat provides a creative hub for people to meet, talk, work, perform, question, create, craft, display and enjoy themselves.  And a relaxing garden situated at the rear provides the ideal location to enjoy a beer, wine or soft drink in the summer. Bluecoat also has Explore, a set of free family craft activities taking place over the weekend. Dating from the early 18th century, the building’s architectural importance is illuminated by its UNESCO world heritage and Grade One listed status. Bluecoat has a rich artistic history. Augustus John was associated with Bluecoat and early exhibitions included the first Post Impressionists show, which came to Liverpool in 1911 following an earlier showing in London organised by critic Roger Fry. It featured works by Picasso, Cézanne, Van Gogh, Matisse and Gauguin, exhibiting alongside British artists for the first time. The building has an equally distinguished history in the performing arts, from visits by Stravinsky, Bartok and Britten, to leading jazz and rock players such as Sun Ra, Captain Beefheart and John Surman, to contemporary composers like Michael Nyman and Gavin Bryars, and dancer Michael Clark, or live literature from Doris Lessing, the Last Poets and Benjamin Zephania. Yoko Ono had her first paid performance at Bluecoat in 1967, around the time that she met John Lennon. We were delighted when Yoko returned to the new performance space in 2008 for a special performance to celebrate the reopening of the building. Bluecoat is now home to over 30 creative industries including artists, graphic designers, small arts organisations, craftspeople and retailers. Many of these are situated in the areas of the building which are not open to the public. Our longest standing occupier is Bluecoat Display Centre which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2009 and sells the best in UK crafts. The recent redevelopment, completed in 2008, saw the south east wing rebuilt however into a purpose built arts wing complete with four galleries hosting contemporary art created by international, national and local artists with the exhibitions changing approximately every two to three months. Despite hosting such luminaries such as the fore mentioned Van Gogh and Picasso the building’screative heritage is not just about major figures. Many artists have presented their work here at an early stage in their career, including several, for instance, who went on to win the Turner Prize, whilst literally hundreds of artists and creative organisations have been supported in different ways at Bluecoat. Many more individuals have acknowledged a connection to the building, including George Melly, brought as a child to Sandon fancy dress parties, and Simon Rattle who came here for violin lessons. With the new arts wing, reorganisation of interior spaces and access improvements, this represents the most significant change in Bluecoat’s long history. Alongside the physical changes to the building, Bluecoat now offers a different experience for people who use and visit the building to engage with art. Creativity, from production to consumption, will be at the heart of everything you experience at Bluecoat. Support from Arts Council England, the Heritage Lottery Fund, North West Regional Development Agency and the European Regional Development Fund, and from trusts, foundations and donors, has enabled Bluecoat to transform itself into a building ready to face and survive the next 300 years. VALLADOLID AND CreArt ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE IN LAVA Valladolid, located in north-central Spain, it is the capital of the autonomous community of Castille and Leon. Valladolid is a welcoming city, socially cohesive and well integrated. Valladolid has a population around 309,000 inhabitants. Valladolid is an economic motor in the region, having an important automobile industry. At the same time, Valladolid is a city full of history and still preserves its old quarter, a heritage of aristocratic houses and religious buildings like the Cathedral commissioned by King Philip II in the 16th Century, the House Museum of Cervantes or the one of Christopher Columbus. At present, the city’s most vibrant cultural sectors are visual and performing arts, cultural heritage and the audiovisual sector. Thanks to the work of the Fundación Municipal de Cultura – FMC (created by them Municipality in 1982), and the Department for Museums and Exhibitions for the last 20 years, Valladolid has become a reference as regards its cultural scene with a Network of public galleries, hosting high level exhibitions, a Museum of Spanish Contemporary Art and a lab of Arts and Center for Artistic Creation (LAVA). The City of Valladolid through the Fundación Municipal de Cultura (FMC) and CreArt project sets up a new artist in Residence Programme that will take place in LAVA. Projekt polega na zapewnieniu uczestnikom dostępu do sztuki (w każdym wieku, zwłaszcza z utrudnionym dostępem do kultury) oraz sprzyjaniu ich twórczości poprzez warsztaty w galeriach, akcje w przestrzeni miasta i wycieczki do miejsc sztuki. Ważne będzie eksponowanie prac uczestników jako wsparcie dla budowania ich poczucia własnej wartości, a także wprowadzenie nowatorskiej oferty wystawienniczej na Śląsku. Całość realizują doświadczeni artyści i nauczyciele-edukatorzy. Projekt jest nastawiony na tworzenie kooperatywnych instytucji, pracowni oraz placówek oświatowych na Śląsku i w Polsce. "Kontemplacja" w języku łacińskim oznacza po prostu "oglądanie", a my rozszerzymy to również do "odczuwania". Przywołaliśmy obraz jednostkowego doświadczenia uczestnika projektu – stojącego przed rzeźbą, obrazem, słuchającego muzyki, który doświadcza wewnętrznych wzruszeń i poczucia radości. We współczesnym świecie pełnym chaosu medialnego, wojennego i wizualnego poszukujemy skupienia oraz wewnętrznej diagnozy zagubionej kultury i świata wartości. W 2023 roku podjęliśmy próbę odbudowy naszej wspólnoty poprzez wzajemne i długotrwałe działania, zakończone akcją finałową z udziałem ponad 600 uczestników. W 2024 roku pragniemy skupić się na kontynuacji pracy w tej wspólnocie i refleksyjnym odbiorze sztuki, by właśnie ten ogląd poprowadził nas od stycznia do grudnia 2024 roku, idąc za cytatem T. de Chardin: "Widzenie zamyka nasze życie". Zastanowimy się, co oznacza zauważyć, że mamy przed sobą pomalowane płótno lub kombinację dźwięków, ale też coś większego – coś, co "mówi", co jest w stanie poruszyć nasze emocje. Dzieło sztuki usiłuje odkryć głęboki sens twórczości i przekazać go za pomocą kolorów i dźwięków. Sztuka potrafi wyrazić ludzką potrzebę wykraczania poza to, co widzialne, ukazuje pragnienia i poszukiwania nieskończoności. Co więcej – jest bramą otwartą ku pięknu i prawdzie, wykraczającą poza codzienność. To właśnie dzieło sztuki pozwala nam zobaczyć inne wymiary rzeczywistości, nie tylko tę codzienną. Zdefiniujemy tytułową kontemplację jako sposób na uporządkowanie swoich myśli, zadumanie się nad odbiorem oraz rozważanie prawd ludzkich zawartych w dziełach. Kontemplacja jako proces polega na utrzymywaniu myśli w świadomości przez dłuższy czas i dociekaniu, co to za rzecz, którą kontemplujemy, jaką prawdę kryje i czemu się przyglądamy. Nasze działania obejmą zatem skupioną obserwację oraz świadome kierowanie swojej uwagi w stronę dzieł sztuki wizualnej, muzycznej i interdyscyplinarnej. Projekt będzie kreowany przez zaangażowaną grupę artystów i edukatorów w komfortowych warunkach dla wszystkich uczestników projektu. Istotne będzie również odniesienie do wybitnych twórców polskich, którzy urzeczywistniają w swoich dziełach elementy kontemplacji, zarówno w sensie procesu tworzenia, jak i procesu odbioru tych dzieł. Będziemy inspirować się nie tylko sztuką, ale także filozofią takich osobowości jak: Wojciech Fangor, Marek Kuś, Henryk Górecki, Wojciech Kilar, Roman Opałka, Wacław Szpakowski oraz ze świata nauki - Albert Einstein. Różnorodne pod kątem zaawansowania, jak i tematyki warsztaty umożliwiają np. poznanie i samodzielnie konstruowanie urządzeń elektro-akustycznych przydatne zarówno początkującym, jak i zaawansowanym twórcom muzyki elektronicznej.  Istotnym elementem projektu są działania w siedzibie projektu (funkcjonujące od 2017 &bdquo;Studio BDK”), gdzie regularnie odbywają się: wykłady, słuchowiska edukacyjne i koncerty. Studio jest również miejscem pracy dla twórców lokalnych i uznanych artystów sceny elektronicznej zaproszonych do współpracy ramach programu &bdquo;Mikrorezydencji”, eksplorującego technologię wielokanałowej emisji dźwięku. Głównym problemem na jaki odpowiada BDK, jest ciągła potrzeba promowania zagadnień związanych z muzyką elektroniczną oraz podnoszenie kompetencji zarówno lokalnych twórców jak i publiczności. Zamierzamy stale tworzyć warunki służące do samodzielnego rozwoju lokalnej sceny oraz zmierzać do nadania Katowicom statusu ważnego ośrodka muzyki elektronicznej i klubowej.  BDK poprzez swoje cykliczne programy warsztatów, wykładów, rezydencji, koncertów i improwizowanych publicznych sesji dąży do stworzenia przestrzeni integracji społecznej i współpracy pomiędzy profesjonalistami związanymi z branżą̨ muzyczną, aspirującymi twórcami-entuzjastami i publicznością. Zawartość: Katowicka Runda Teatralna 2018 Katowicka Runda Teatralna to kompleksowy projekt teatralny wspierający młodą, rodzimą dramaturgię oraz teatry nieinstytucjonalne. W ramach przedsięwzięcia wybitni polscy dramatopisarze prowadzą grupy warsztatowe, których uczestnicy mają za zadanie stworzenie nowatorskich tekstów dramatycznych i poszukiwanie oryginalnych środków ekspresji artystycznej. Powstałe scenariusze przekazywane są następnie w ręce teatrów nieinstytucjonalnych, które przygotowują ich inscenizacje. Premiery spektakli traktujące o współczesnej nam rzeczywistości prezentowane są w formie dwudniowego maratonu teatralnego. Rezultaty prac teatrów ocenia komisja konkursowa złożona z cenionych autorytetów w dziedzinie kultury, przyznając zespołom nagrody finansowe. Formuła ta stymuluje rywalizację artystyczną, pozwala na zderzenie dyskursów oraz motywuje twórców do rozwoju. Projekt wzbogaca repertuary teatrów o nową jakość oraz poszerza spektrum twórców piszących teksty z myślą o scenie teatralnej.   Pierwsza edycja projektu miała miejsce w 2017 roku. Jolanta Janiczak, Weronika Murek oraz Paweł Demirski przeprowadzili warsztaty dramatopisarskie, w efekcie których powstało 12 scenariuszy inspirowanych Katowicami. Inscenizacji tekstów podjęły się teatry nieinstytucjonalne z Katowic. Siedem z nich miało swoje premiery w trakcie maratonu teatralnego 10 i 11 listopada 2017 r. Efekty prac teatrów oceniała komisja konkursowa złożona z cenionych autorytetów związanych ze środowiskiem teatru (w składzie: Agata Duda-Gracz, Weronika Szczawińska i Artur Pałyga). Swój głos miała również publiczność.   Wraz z realizacją drugiej odsłony projektu wprowadzamy w formułę istotne zmiany. W roku 2018 odbędą się wyłącznie warsztaty dramatopisarskie (maj-listopad 2018 r.), które poprowadzą: Małgorzata Sikorska-Miszczuk, Łucja Iwanczewska oraz Anka Herbut. Grupa maksymalnie 15 uczestników pracować będzie nad tekstami inspirowanymi Katowicami. Miasto stać się może kanwą opowieści, miejscem akcji lub też jedynie pretekstem.   Powstałe utwory staną się scenariuszami spektakli, do których inscenizacji zaprosimy teatry funkcjonujące w Górnośląsko-Zagłębiowskiej Metropolii. Wyłonione zostaną one w otwartym naborze. Prace nad przedstawieniami odbywać się będą w roku 2019 pod okiem zaproszonych tutorów – aktywnych twórców związanych z teatrem. Premiery spektakli zaprezentowane zostaną w trakcie finałowego maratonu teatralnego w listopadzie 2019 r.
